Citizens from certain countries can visit Vietnam without a visa for specified periods. To qualify for a Vietnam visa exemption, travelers must ensure:
- Passport Validity: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam.
- Blank Pages: The passport should have at least 2 blank pages.
Visa Exemption Details:
- 30 Days:
- Countries: Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Laos.
- 21 Days:
- Country: Philippines.
- 45 Days:
- Countries: Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, UK, Belarus, Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Finland.
- 14 Days:
- Countries: Brunei, Myanmar.
- 90 Days:
- Countries: Chile and Panama (with valid diplomatic or official passports).
- 60 Days:
- Holders: APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies.
- 30 Days:
- Phu Quoc Island: Foreigners can visit without a visa for up to 30 days. However, if transiting through other international airports in Vietnam before arriving at Phu Quoc (not flying directly to Phu Quoc), they are not eligible for the visa exemption.
Important Note:
- British National Overseas (BNO) Passport Holders: They are not eligible for the 15-day visa exemption and must apply for a visa to visit Vietnam.
